Explore the creative process with Christian artist Tara Mulder during her show of multi-media mosaics, “Poured Out,” on exhibit at the Center September 12-25, 2022. During this workshop, Tara will share her approach to creativity as a spiritual practice and how she developed “Poured Out” to express ideas and emotions from the narrative of the widow’s oil found in II Kings, chapter 4 of the Judeo-Christian Scriptures.
She will also share her approach to developing art without spiritual themes. This workshop is open to creative participants of all types: writers, artists, photographers, and musicians just to name a few. You’ll have time to reflect, plan, and hone your own approach to developing creative work in any discipline. Bring a journal and materials of your choice, except for acrylics or oils (unless for outdoor use). Laptops, tablets, and cameras are also welcome. The workshop starts at 9:30am, includes lunch, and concludes at 4:00pm.
