Are you curious about different meditation styles?
The individual trying to establish a meditative practice is faced with a myriad of possibilities—there are literally a thousand ways to meditate. Even experts acknowledge that meditation is hard to define because practices vary both between traditions and within them.
In this four-week workshop we will explore, learn about and practice various meditative forms and their scientifically proven benefits.
We will cover Object Based Meditation (Mindfulness, Breath Centered, Vipassana, and Body Scan and Somatic Meditation), Object-Less Meditation (Pristine Mind Meditation), and Meditation in Motion (Tai Chi and Qigong).
This class will meet Wednesday evenings 6:30 to 9:00 pm at the Forest of Peace, for four weeks starting October 19 and finishing November 9. Participants have the option of coming to the Forest early for Community Mediation (4:30 to 5:00 pm) and/or supper (5:30 pm, $10 additional fee per meal). Meditation cushions and/or chairs will be provided.
The Forest is only 25 minutes from downtown Tulsa. Begin a new or strengthen an existing meditation practice in the peacefulness of the Forest in our beautiful Meditation Chapel.
