Sewall House Yoga Retreat Maine
Sewall House, a National Historic Registry 1865 home, has been restored while keeping its feeling of a simpler time. Guests have private bedrooms for contemplation. Located in pristine Northern Maine in the tiny hamlet of Island Falls. the retreat center is near lakes, hikes, rivers and National and State Parks. Yoga is offered twice daily by seasoned teachers so classes are tailored to individual needs and levels, The owner Donna Sewall Davidge has been teaching full time in New York City since the mid 1980's, offering retreats half the year from Memorial Day to Columbus Day, with fellow teachers on staff. Various forms of yoga are offered, as well as meditation and breathing practices.
Guests often find us when they are going through transitions in their life. Massage, sauna, one person jacuzzi and nature outings are offered.
We are an alcohol and recreational drug free environment. The three meals a day are vegetarian, locally sourced whenever possible and made from organic foods.
We were featured on HGTV in 2021 as the second of top ten transformational retreats in the United States and have been featured in many publications since our beginning such as Yoga Journal and Travel & Leisure.
