For personal or group retreats, accommodations provide comfort without distraction. Single or double guest bedrooms include a bed, private bedroom, closet and desk.

Meals

Shared meals allow you to engage in conversation with members of the community and monastery guests from around the world. We offer buffet-style meals made from healthy, locally grown ingredients. A light breakfast is provided.

Prayer

There are several opportunities each day to join with others in prayer. Centering prayer is a time of quiet. You are also welcome for the service of scripture and song in the morning, at noon and during early evening.

Library

The 4,000-volume library offers titles on monastic life, scripture, spirituality, world religions, liturgy and women’s religious studies. Peruse books and current periodicals.

Hermitages

For those seeking a more solitary experience, we can offer private hermitages. These small houses include a kitchenette, sitting area, bath and an outdoor deck overlooking the wooded landscape. Whether working on a personal project or seeking a deeper connection with God, a hermitage surrounds you in a silence and deep calm that cultivates renewal.

Our retreat facilities offer an ideal setting for conferences, workshops, staff planning and retreats - a few hours, a day, overnight or longer. Various sized meeting rooms and 76 private bedrooms accommodate groups of 2 - 72; home-cooked meals are available. Siena Center is accessible to moderately handicapped persons.

We have an extensive retreat calendar with a range of topics: contemplative prayer, directed, women’s retreats, justice, earth-centered, and praying with the arts. We offer a two-year training program in spiritual guidance. Other options include private retreats with or without spiritual direction, and sabbaticals. We invite individuals and groups.

The Racine Dominican Retreat Program staff is available for presentations and days of prayer at your parish or school site. We invite you to consider how we might dovetail our strengths and services with the needs that you see daily in your parish community.

Organizations, individuals, groups, teachers, and students are invited to share the energy of this sacred space. Individual retreats, group retreats, seminars, sabbatical opportunities, and a spiritual lifestyle program are available. Day meetings or overnight gatherings of hospital, church, educational and management groups are also welcome.

Stone Light is located in a beautiful secluded nature setting in the Kickapoo River Valley of southwest Wisconsin near Viroqua. Its peaceful setting and spiritual energy facilitate personal reflection and expansion.

Individuals may choose to stay in one of the bedrooms at the Center while on retreat or when attending a program.
