Oregon is a coastal U.S. state in the Pacific Northwest known for its diverse landscape of forests, mountains, farms and beaches, perfect for retreats and conferences. The city of Portland is famed for its quirky, avant-garde culture and is home to iconic coffee shops, boutiques, farm-to-table restaurants and microbreweries. Highlights include ,the Native American art in the Portland Art Museum, the Japanese Garden and the Lan Su Chinese Garden.
Tourism is also a strong industry in the state. Much of this is centered on the state’s natural features; Oregon’s mountains, forests, waterfalls, rivers, beaches and lakes, including Crater Lake National Park, Multnomah Falls, the Painted Hills, the Deschutes River, and the Oregon Caves National Monument and Preserve. Mount Hood, and Mount Bachelor also draw visitors year round for skiing and snow activities. The diverse landscape is also home to some amazing retreat centers and camps, not only near Portland and Salem, but also with some amazing retreat venues stretching from the ocean to Mount Ranier National Park.
